Vickie L. Allison

Vickie Lynn Allison, 63, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus in Davenport.

She was born July 29, 1961 in Galesburg, the daughter of Dalton and Frances P. (Brown) Smith. Vickie was reared and educated in Galesburg. She worked as a CNA at the former Applegate East Nursing Home and Marigold Rehabilitation and Heath Care Center for many years. Vickie married John W. Allison on September 16, 1995 in Galesburg.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 29 years, John Allison of Davenport; one son, Marcus (Taylor) Harris of Delavan, Illinois; and one grandson, Julius Brian Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Mark Smith and Kevin Smith.

Vickie lived a life rich with creativity and compassion. Her passion for sewing and decorating was evident in everything she touched, as she often infused warmth and beauty into her surroundings. A beautiful and phenomenal woman, she was not only a loving wife, mother, and grandmother but also a cherished friend to many. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her nurturing heart, her artistic talents, and the joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends.

Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory in Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
