Wanda A Mason

Wanda A. Mason, age 78, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at her Monmouth residence on December 6, 2014 at 10:40 am. Wanda was born on May 30, 1936 in Camden Township of Schuyler County in Illinois and is the daughter of Richard and Hannah Hickman Doyle. She was raised and educated in Bushnell and it's public schools and graduated from the Bushnell High School in 1954. Wanda married Raymond D. Mason on October 16, 1954 and he preceded in his death on February 2, 2002. Wanda was a seamstress and worked for many years at the Smolers/Formfit Company here in Monmouth, Illinois. She later was a certified nurses assistant at the Klein Nursing Home in Burlington, Iowa until, due to health reasons, she retired. Wanda for years sold Avon and Rawleigh products out of her home and car. She enjoyed crocheting and handwork and often made things for her family. Surviving is her son, Timothy (Tammy) Mason of Stronghurst, Illinois and two granddaughters, Samantha (Heath) Alfaro of Galesburg, IL and Kristen Mason in Davenport, Iowa. There is one grandson, Allen (Emily) Mason of Milwaukee, WI surviving. There are two great granddaughters, Katelynn and Kenley Alfaro both of Galesburg, IL surviving. Services:As per her request, cremation has been accorded and no service is currently planned.
