Warren L. Rutz

Warren L. Rutz, 89, of Victoria, died at 5:35 a.m. Sunday, August 23, 2020 at home. Warren was born July 26, 1931 in Carlyle, the son of Otto and Julie Marie (Honnen) Rutz.  Warren served in the US Navy and was a foundry worker at Caterpillar for over 30 years. He is survived by two sons, Otto (Gini) Rutz of Chillicothe and Jim (Carol) Rutz of Washington; two daughters, Annetta (Patrick) Carrigan of East Peoria and Rosetta Shinn of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Charles “Bucky” Rutz of Carlyle.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and seven brothers and sisters.Cremation has been accorded.  No services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
