William L. Tee

William L. Tee, age 82, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away on September 10, 2015 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Galesburg, Illinois. Bill was born on August 24, 1933 in Oquawka, Illinois and is the son of Floyd William and Nellie Elvira Brown Tee. He was raised in Oquawka and attended and graduated from G & O High School in the class of 1953. William served his country and was a corporal in the United States Army. He was first married to Jean Cochran in 1963 in Oquawka, Illinois. He later was married to Ruth E. Robbins on May 28, 1976 in Monmouth, Illinois. She preceded him on May 16, 2012. Bill was a union painter. Ruth and Bill also operated "Tee's Gift Shop" in Oquawka, IL. and also was a vendor in the Walmart Store. He and she also enjoyed flea markets throughout the area. Bill is survived by one daughter, Carrie Garner of Tucson, AZ; his step-daughter, Sharon Kay Unterbrink of Monmouth, IL., step-son, Richard (Kathy) Robbins of Monmouth, Illinois. There is one grandson, Thomas Crotts of Tucson, AZ., his sister, Marjorie Bones of Red Bluff, CA., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also surviving. He is preceded in his death by his parents, wife, brother Jim, and two infant siblings. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Interment will be in the Oquawka Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 am prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established for the Oquawka Ambulance Service.
