Wilma J. Sheese

Wilma J. Sheese, age 90, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 6:28 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Wilma was born on July 18, 1927 in Astoria, Illinois and is the daughter of Harry and Hilda Brinton Miller. She was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School in the class of 1945. Wilma married Gerald Sheese on June 26, 1949 in Monmouth, and he is surviving her. In earlier years, Wilma was employed by Illinois Bankers Life Insurance in Monmouth, and has been a homemaker in her own home raising her family. Wilma also was active and volunteered with Community Memorial Hospital Auxillary in Monmouth. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Sheese of Monmouth, and two sons, Dean Sheese (Dianne) of Chesterfield, MO and Kevin Sheese (Pam) of McAllen, TX, two grandchildren, Heather Rubio (Jaime) of San Antonia, TX and Justin Sheese of McAllen, TX, three great-grandchildren, Joaquin, Elias, and Ximena Rubio, all survive in San Antonio, TX, and Wilma's brother, Donald Miller (Mary) of Monmouth, IL. Numerous nieces and nephews are also surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eleanor Enslow. Visitation Her family is planning visitation on Friday and will be present at the funeral home from Noon-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Memorial Service Cremation is being accorded. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park. A memorial fund is being established for Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, Illinois
