Zachary Austin Carrier, 22 of Bradenton, Florida, lost his battle with Cystic Fibrosis on August 22nd, 2014. He was born December 8th, 1991 in Kankakee, IL. and is the son of Kendall Carrier and Christy Welch Sincavage. He was raised and educated in the Pittsfield, IL area and graduated from Braden River High School in 2010. He currently is enrolled at The State College of Florida majoring in jazz piano performance. Zachary was a passionate musician and participated in the following music organizations: Davenport and Braden River High School's marching bands, jazz bands, and concert bands, Manatee County Independent Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Tampa Bay Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps, State College of Florida Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra and Jazz Combo. Zac was a multi-talented musician, fluent on piano, saxophone, oboe, marimba, xylophone and vibraphone. He attended West Bradenton Baptist Church and loved performing in the praise band. Aside from music, Zac enjoyed reading, history, creative writing, poetry, video games, sailing, road trips, and spending time with his family and friends. He also spent a lot of time supporting others with cystic fibrosis through online chats and blogs. Zac was a very caring young man and had the incredible ability to make friends of all ages in just one meeting. He has made an imprint on the hearts of many and was an inspiration to all who met him. Zac is survived by his parents Kendall Carrier, of Bradenton, FL; and Christy (Welch) Sincavage and Step-Father Charles Sincavage of Morrow, OH; sisters Angela Barger and Nathan of Amelia Ohio, Holly Carrier of Cincinnati, OH and brother Kristopher Carrier of Bradenton, FL. One step sister, Carlee Sincavage and step brother Casey Sincavage, both of Evansville, IN also survive. Zachary also leaves one niece, Vera Leoni Barger and a grandmother, Rosalind (Lewis) Welch. He also leaves numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Zac was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenny and Dorothy Carrier, maternal grandfather, Clarence Welch and one uncle, Richard "Rick" Carrier. Services:A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 10 a.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, for Zac. The family will be available for visitation at 9 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. An interment service will follow at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at West Bradenton Baptist Church, in Bradenton, Florida on Monday, September 1st at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that donations be made in Zac's memory to fund research to fight antibiotic-resistant bacteria and its effects on those with Cystic Fibrosis.
