Obituary for Zoe Leigh Parmenter

Zoe Leigh Parmenter, 16, of Maquon, died Friday, November 17, 2017 at home.

Zoe was born on October 22, 2001 in Peoria, the daughter of James Barton and Melinda Price. She was adopted by her grandparents, Kenneth L. and Sharon L. Parmenter, Sr. Zoe is survived by her birth father, James Barton of Florida; birth mother, Melinda C. Price and her fiancé Jeremy D. Lowe of Lewistown; her adoptive mother, Sharon L. Parmenter of Maquon. Zoe is also survived by her brothers, Kenny (Jessica) Parmenter, Jr. of Hutsonville, IL; Chad Parmenter of Terre Haute, IN; sisters, Shelli (Kevin) Liddle of Robinson, IL, and Autumn Massey of Lewistown, IL.

Zoe was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Kenneth L. Parmenter, Sr.

Zoe was a very bright, vibrant, and gifted artist. She was an old soul whose time here was cut short. She was a strong force who touched the hearts of all she met. Zoe was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maquon. She loved listening to music and writing poetry. She had a deep love for her animals. Zoe also enjoyed shopping, always looking for a bargain. Her beautiful eyes, smile, and soul will leave a void in the lives she touched.Private family services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the family in c/o Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, 1849 N. Seminary St., Galesburg, IL 61401.
